Snap Floater FAQs

A Snap Floater is a wood artwork panel paired with a matching recessed floater frame. Hidden magnets hold the panel securely in position while leaving a clean shadow gap around the artwork.

Snap Floaters are precision laser cut from layered Baltic birch plywood. The panel and floater components are cut to the selected dimensions and shape, assembled in layers, fitted with hidden magnets, finished in the selected colour, and inspected before shipping. We do not use CNC cutting for these products.

Magnets are recessed inside the panel and the matching floater frame, so the mounting hardware is hidden from view. When the panel is placed into the floater, the magnets pull it into its intended position and keep it seated inside the recessed opening. The panel can be removed and reinstalled without visible clips or screws.

Yes. The magnet quantity and placement are selected for the panel size and shape. The panel is held inside the recessed floater opening, so the magnets provide alignment and retention while the frame structure supports the installed panel.

Yes. A compatible magnetic panel can be removed and replaced without taking the floater frame off the wall. This makes it easy to rotate artwork, seasonal designs, photographs, collections, or display panels.

Weight depends on the outside dimensions, number of panel pieces, floater shape, and plywood area. Baltic birch construction keeps the system relatively lightweight, but larger and multi-panel designs weigh more. Use suitable wall hardware for the finished size and wall type, and contact us when an exact finished weight is required before ordering.

Install the floater frame first using picture-hanging hardware suitable for its size, weight, and your wall construction. Level and secure the frame, then place the panel into the recessed opening and allow the hidden magnets to seat it. Larger products may require two hanging points for better support and alignment.

Yes. Smaller sizes can be displayed on shelves, desktops, mantels, counters, display stands, or gallery ledges. Make sure the product is supported securely and cannot slide or fall.

Yes. Enter the required width and height in the designer. The application calculates the matching floater opening, reveal, face width, layout, outside dimensions, and price for the selected configuration.

Yes. The designer includes rectangles, circles, triangles, hearts, polygons, organic shapes, leaves, water drops, eggs, pebbles, beans, and other layouts. Completely new shapes or branded outlines may require a separate review to confirm that they are structurally suitable and laser friendly.

The overall panel width and height can be entered from 2 to 36 inches. For multi-panel designs, every individual finished panel piece must be at least 1 x 1 inch. A design may therefore require a larger overall size when it contains many small pieces.

The application adds the selected reveal and face width around the actual panel geometry, measures the resulting opening and outer frame, and rounds production dimensions to the required shop increment.

The solver checks both panel-to-panel spacing and panel-to-opening clearance. Layouts that cannot meet the requested reveal at the selected size are rejected rather than being displayed with incorrect or uneven gaps.

Yes. The quantity discount is applied automatically when the same product configuration is ordered in multiple quantities: 2 pieces receive 20% off, 3 to 5 receive 25% off, 6 to 10 receive 30% off, and 11 or more receive 35% off.

Panel-only or floater-only orders may be possible when the dimensions, shape, reveal, magnet locations, and construction match an existing Snap Floater configuration. Contact us with the product code so compatibility can be confirmed.

Yes. SVG files are generated in the browser for download, and the 3D canvas can be exported as a PNG. Temporary SVG and PNG files are not stored on the server.

Custom sizes, shapes, finishes, and layouts are produced specifically for the order and are generally not returnable. Review the selected dimensions, design, finish, 3D preview, and store return policy before placing the order.
